This picture is not mine. Anyway, i chose it because it represents very well one of the beaches that will be destroyed. Let me explain. A shipyard is about to be constructed in the city of Biguaçu (17km of Florianopolis), which is very close to 3 units of federal ambiental preservation. If it suceeds, then all this clear water will be poluted and the marine life will die, because of the contamination with oil, arsenic and ink. Esta figura não fui eu quem tirou. Eu a escolhi pois representa bem uma das praias que será destrída. Explico melhor. Um estaleiro está para ser construído na cidade de Biguaçu (17 km de Florianopolis), que está muito próxima de 3 áreas de preservação ambiental federais. Se bem sucedido, então toda esta água cristalina será poluída e a vida marinha irá morrer, por causa da contaminação com óleo, arsênico e tinta. ResponderExcluirWhat a lovely beach. I think that the best way is to make sure that people know what is happening. Go to university and give a talk on this and get the students and everyone involved. Write to your politicians – they usually like to keep voters happy. Many threats to the environment here have been prevented just by some women getting together and talking to the TV and the newspapers. Do not be afraid to make noise, so you can be heard.
